One Mind
Biog: One Mind were formed in 1997 when guitarist Willie Hogan and Drummer Francis Tiereny were due to do a gig in local venue "Luke Kelly's". Lacking a bass player they got on to some friends for help. Enter Mike Carty, a vetern of many Galway bands including "Amnezia". They had a little rehearsal the day of the gig and so One Mind was born. One Mind play a diverse set in their prefered Rock/Hard Rock genre, with songs from Rage Against The Machine, Greenday, Blink 182 and Thin Lizzy. Added to this solid set are their own original songs "Take It Slow", "Break Me Down", "Dark & Strange" and "Without You". The latter two were featured on the second Origin Records album "See The Light".
No strangers to the live scene, One Mind have played in Cuba, The Kings Head, The Cellar And Queen Street in Galway, The Funnel and Fuzion in Dublin, Whiskey Joe's in Loughrea, The Cladagh in Ballybrophy and Brandon's in Ennis. On the recording front One Mind have a self titled 4 track EP for sale. Some of these tracks were featured on the John Kenny Show on 2FM, as well as on Phantom FM in Dublin. The lads are now in the process of recording their first album which will be available in the latter half of 2000.
